The EA Poker Tour (EAPT) 2024 season officially opens in the next few days with a stop in Slovakia. The Slovakian capital of Bratislava will play host to major poker action from January 21-28, with over €350,000 in total guarantees up for grabs.
EAPT Bratislava – Main Highlights
EAPT Bratislava features 11 cup tournaments running for eight days, from January 21-28, at the Banco Casino Bratislava which lies in the center of the city, directly opposite the Presidential Palace. The festival caters to all bankrolls, with buy-ins ranging from €85 to €1,100.
The main attraction is the €560 Main Event which comes with a guaranteed prize pool of €180,000. The tournament gets underway on January 24 and features four starting flights. Day 2 is scheduled for January 27, with the finale playing out on January 28.
To sweeten the pot, the tournament will award EAPT Grand Final packages valued at €20,000 to each of the top four finishers, giving them the chance to compete for the coveted EA Poker Tour championship title.
Other events to watch for include the €250 buy-in, $50,000GTD EAPT Cup which runs from January 21-23 with four Day 1 flights. The schedule also includes a €335 buy-in, €30,000GTD Mini Main Event (Jan. 27), and a €1,100 buy-in, €30,000GTD High Roller 8-Max (Jan. 27-28).
The venue will also be hosting cash games for both NLHE and PLO fans, complemented by promotions such as High-Hands Bonuses, Bad Beat Jackpots, and Progressive Bad Beat Jackpots.
GGPoker Hosting Online Qualifiers for EAPT Bratislava Main Event
Players may secure a seat in the EAPT Bratislava Main Event via online qualifiers on GGPoker. The €66 Final Satellite takes place on January 21 at 17:30 CET. The tournament will give away at least 20 EAPT Online Day seats, each worth €560.
The Online Day (an online version of the EAPT Bratislava Main Event) will run on GGPoker on January 21 at 21:05 CET and will adopt the same structure as the live tournament, with players starting the action with a 40,000 chipstack, played to 15-minute levels.
The online action concludes at 15% of the field and the surviving players will combine with the remaining players at the live EAPT Bratislava Main Event at Banco Casino on January 27 to play down to a winner.
